A Lifetime of Loving Animals
Hi! I’m Jen, the owner of Serenity Pet Care, LLC, based in Arvada, Colorado.
My love for animals began long before I started my pet care business. Growing up along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, my family had 33 cats. Yes, 33 cats! Needless to say, animals have always been a big part of my life.
Years later, while living in the Virginia countryside, I began fostering dogs from the local county shelter. I opened my home to pups waiting for their forever families and even drove many of them to their new homes, sometimes as far away as New York. Helping those dogs find loving families was incredibly rewarding.
Over the years, my love for animals has never faded. From playful puppies and independent cats to senior pets who need a little extra attention, I’ve always appreciated the different personalities and companionship animals bring into our lives.
Today, I share my home with Luna, a Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd mix who joined our family in the summer of 2023 through 2 Blonds Rescue. She’s a wonderful reminder of how much joy, energy, and unconditional love pets bring to our everyday lives.
Why I Started Serenity Pet Care
For 30 years, I worked in a job that required me to travel almost every month. And while I enjoyed many aspects of my work, there was one thing I never liked—leaving my pups behind.
I know firsthand how difficult it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care. You want to know they’re safe, comfortable, and getting the attention they deserve while you’re away.
That experience helped inspire Serenity Pet Care.
I wanted to provide the kind of dependable, thoughtful care I always hoped my own pups would receive. Someone who understands that pets aren’t just animals living in your home. They’re family, with their own personalities, routines, and needs.
Whether I’m caring for an energetic dog, a shy cat, or a senior pet who needs a little extra patience, I treat each pet as an individual.
And because I remember how much I appreciated hearing about my pups while I was traveling, keeping you updated is an important part of my service.
My goal is simple: To give you peace of mind when you have to leave home without them.
Sharing My Love of Pet Care With Others
Over the years, I’ve received questions from people who love animals and want to start their own pet sitting businesses.
Those conversations inspired me to create an online course, Sit. Stay. Earn: 2-Week Blueprint to Your New Pet Sitting Business, launching in early winter 2026.
The course helps aspiring pet sitters turn their love of animals into a business of their own, with practical guidance on getting started, setting up services, and building a strong foundation.
